Mountain Echoes grows through shared memory.

Much of the nantahalanc.com archive expanded because people contributed stories, corrections, photographs, and recollections. This project continues that tradition.

Like the original archive, Mountain Echoes exists for preservation, not profit. It does not generate revenue and is not designed to commercialize local history. The goal is simply to keep memory accessible and connected.

If you know of a person, place, resource, or story that belongs here, you’re welcome to share it. Small details matter. Local knowledge matters. Memory becomes history when it’s preserved.
